The Company's Managing Director is David Walker F.B.I.I. The Company's Head Office is in Weymouth, Dorset.

David has been involved with the Brewing Industry since 1980. Starting off with Benskins (part of Allied Lyons), in London and the Home Counties. He has held senior positions with Wards of Sheffield, Devenish Brewery in the West Country and the Managed Estate of Inn Leisure, based in Weymouth.

David joined Allied Lyons when aspiring Area Managers where expected to serve an apprenticeship term within one of the training houses on the managed house estate.

He duly started his career as a Brewery Trainee at the Hertfordshire Arms in Watford. Pulling no punches, the House Manager guided David through the myriad of tasks Allied Lyons expected from their managers.

Several training houses later, including the White Hart Hotel in St. Albans, PJ's wine bar and young persons venue in Watford and The White Swan at Hoddesdon, David moved over to the Managed House Estate as a Deputy Area Manager and so a career began.

After a temporary exchange programme at Wards Brewery in Sheffield to explore new EPOS technologies, David went on to join West Country Brewers, Devenish.

David initially managed an estate of Tenanted and Leasehold pubs stretching from Cornwall, across Devon and into Dorset. Later, his role was extended to include the managed house side of the operation, mainly in Weymouth.

David formed his own Company in the 90's and has established The Pubshop Ltd., as a driving force in brokering the sale and purchase of licensed trade properties in the South West of England. The Company has always got on its books some of the most sought after pubs in the area.

Pubshop goes into 2008 with robust sales and enquiries. Many well known branded Licensed Retail Companies use the services of The Pubshop Ltd.

At the helm of the Company is Keith Gordon. Keith has a meticulous career record, joining Pubshop from a national pub company where he held a senior position. His knowledge of the Licensed Trade and its ever-changing face is invaluable. Having had experience in writing pub leases he is well placed to advise on agreements that clients may find intimidating. He will take you through every stage of purchasing a leasehold, freehold or tenanted property.

After two years in the research and writing, David and his co-author, presented a National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders qualification to the Awarding Body, the Graded Qualifications Alliance (GQAL). They in turn submitted the qualification to the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) for accreditation.

Supported by People 1st, endorsed by an MP who is a current Minister of State and subsequently accredited by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Qualification (GQAL Level 2 NCPLH) received National Accreditation on 1st May 2005.

Following accreditation, in 2006 the responsibility for administering to the GQAL Level 2 NCPLH was passed to a newly formed independent company, Developing Hospitality Ltd.

In 2007, David formed a Sister Company to The Pubshop Ltd., and incorporated it as Pubshop Training School Ltd. He sought and gained Centre Approval to deliver the GQAL NCPLH and now Clients buying licensed properties through The Pubshop Ltd., can easily access the NCPLH in order to apply for their Personal Licence.
